About me

I'm Claudette—a lifelong educator helping IB students move from overwhelmed to empowered.

I've been where your child is—and where you are, too.

For over two decades, I've taught English in classrooms from the UK to the Middle East. I've been a head of department, an IB MYP and DP teacher, a literacy leader, a champion for inclusion, a wife, and a mother of two. But no role has taught me more than helping students find their footing in the intense, beautiful whirlwind that is the IB.

Because academic success shouldn't come at the cost of mental wellbeing:

I created The IB Nook as a safe space—a quiet corner of the internet—where students can learn to navigate the IB with confidence and calm. I've seen students break under pressure and others soar once they had the right kind of guidance. The difference? Someone who could help them think clearly, plan wisely, and show up with purpose.

Whether it's coaching through a TOK essay, managing time during IA or the EE crunch, or just learning how to stay grounded during mocks or exams, I help IB students find their rhythm—and rise.

The IB Nook Manifesto

The IB Nook Manifesto, outlines my values, beliefs, and goals. My work and role as educator are guided by these principles.
